6 months of heavy prep and after 2 Gmat attempts , I came to a conclusion that i don't have any more energy to continue my prep any further and decided to apply with a 670 (50, 29).
I have close to 6 years of experience in Indian IT and presently i handle a team of 14 people. My job responsibilities never allowed me enough time to preapre at a stretch.
I have no abroad experience. i have worked with 4 well known MNC this far.
Educational Qualifications:

Passed from NIT ( national Institute of Technology) - an elite instite next to the IITs- with a GPA of 6.72 in 2009.
The schools i am targetting are:
1. Texas A & M
2. Georgia Tech - scheller
3. Marriot school of business
4. University of florida
5. W.P carey
6. Urbana champaign

My post MBA goals are consulting/operations/Finance.
Kindly let me know what are my chances to get an admit or even get a waitlist.

Hey there,
Well I think you have done one of the best things you can with a 670 in your position (in which you don't have the luxury of time to study more), and that is to make a reasonable school list.

Now to really dig deep and know for sure, I'd need a LOT more detail from you. But let's say that on a superficial level, your school list seems reasonable for your profile.

Best,
Jon

Hi Jon

As I said I have close to 6 years of WE. I lead a team of 15 now in that my main job is interact with the client , understand their requirement, assessing task criticality and setting deadlines.
In the recent past when the project was through the renewal phase the customer required cost cutting and innovation. In that I took up a role in merging cross functional teams, changing the support from 18x5 to 24x7 , cost optimization for the client by resizing and remodelling the team, came up with a tool to reduce human errors and thus increasing productivity. I was able to save more than $55k for the client.
I seriously intend to pursue my studies in Finance/Consulting/Ops. I think my ability to come up with solutions can help me advance my career in the field of consulting/Operations.

I am very serious about Carey because they have a renowned SCM course
Mays for their Finance
Urbana champaign+ Marriott for poerations

Again I am Indian application with IT experience so that reduces my edge and 670 is on the lower end of the spectrum. So any suggestion may help

Yeah, but still I think your school list is pretty reasonable, and if you were to apply to all the schools on your list, you should be fine (I mean with a great application)
