Hi Jon,

Thank you for reading my complete profile and giving your valuable feedback. Thank you for highlighting that my post-MBA goal should reflect a more practical line of thinking.

I am planning to apply to the following schools for the Aug/Sept 2016 intake:

UBC Sauder(canada)(The colleges in Canada have average GMAT score closer to mine and since Canada does not have visa issues)
McGill Desautels(canada)
York Schulich(canada)
Mannheim Business School(Germany- Because loads of manufacturing based companies are present in Germany including Airbus. I dont know German however I am ready to learn it to pursue my post MBA goal)
Nanyang MBA(Singapore)

I have omitted colleges in US mainly because they demand a higher GMAT score on an average and because of the lack of visas(specially in manufacturing sector).

Retaking the GMAT is not on my mind as of now since it would mean postponing my MBA by more than a year(also because though I scored over 700 several times in my mocks, I ended up with 650 on the real GMAT).

Kindly suggest your opinions on the colleges I have mentioned above. Additionally, if you would like to suggest me some other schools as well,I am open to your suggestions.

Thanks & Regards,
Dominic.

Dear Dominic,
Your plan makes sense in terms of bringing your goals in line with your GMAT. And Germany is indeed one country where you could work initially at least without the German, so it's a real option.

I do want to point out one thing that might not make sense in your application logic though - I DO understand that you don't want to wait a year, and that's your decision, but the fact that you mock tested a 700, on the contrary is a reason for you to retake and wait, because it shows that you CAN do better. (which translates into a better application at better schools). So again, it may be more important for you to apply now than to go to a better school, but I just wanted to point that out.

Best,
Jon
