After working for an year in an IT technical job, I feel that I am more inclined towards Management field of work and I am just wasting my time working in this area. Using MIM, I want to make a strong profile in this Management field and then after working for 2-3 years with MIM degree, I want to apply for an Ivy league college for MBA (hopefully Harvard).

But this could be my naïve thinking. I would be really thankful if you provide me some guidance about what should I do. Isn't MIM a good course to follow? And yes, what would be a good GMAT score to better my chances of getting in HEC or LBS.

Hey there,
Well it's not naive thinking, Im just not sure its the best idea :)

Nobody needs TWO management degrees, especially since there will be a huge overlap between them. And especially since they are both very time consuming and expensive. Essentially, it's not worth it, and it won't bring you much more.

so my advice to you is to give up the idea of the MiM since you have 2 years experience already, focus down on improving your profile for next year and then apply for an MBA

Best,
Jon
