I am applying to apply to programs for round 1 of this year and need some genuine advise to see if my goals are realistic,
about me:
26 year old, White Male
GMAT: 670: Q49, V33, IR 7, AWA 6
GPA: 3.7 at a top 50 nationally ranked public school, BBA in Business-Finance
I currently work for JPMC in the mortgage department as a top producing mortgage consultant with 3 years of experience in the industry. It is mainly a Sales-Consulting role that hopefully will reflect well on my verbal and communication skills considering i believe my verbal score to be below what i would like it to be considering i am a US citizen. I am projected to do 50M in mortgage originations this year which requires management of the mortgage sales life cycle. I would like to transition away from the sales industry and go into a management consulting role where i would be able to utilize many of the same skills but incorporate more of my natural skills as far as logic and analytics into making business decisions.
before my current role i previously attended a US medical school for a year (scored top 15% on MCAT if that matters) before i decided that it wasnt the right fit for me. As i have an undergrad business degree i hope to refocus my career aspirations in that department which will be greatly helped by an MBA
I ideally would like to get into a top 5-15 US business school. I would appreciate any realistic expectations and critiques
thank you!
