Hello,

Request you to evaluate my profile for chances at following schools:

1. Darden
2. Michigan Ross
3. Stern
4. UT Austin
5. Kelley
6. ISB, India


Demographics : Indian Female (24 years, Market Research and Consulting background)
GMAT :730 (Q50, V39, IR 6, AWA 5)
Educational Background : Engineer with a GPA of 3.1

Work Experience : 3 years 4 months (4 years by the time I join course)
- Started working as a Analyst in a highly selective (selection rate <5%) yet small research firm (part of Monitor Consulting Group). Worked with a tough Telecom client in projects such as competitor analysis, developing go-to-market strategy, market assessment, etc.
- Received the 'outstanding client service' award as a part of the team of 3 members within 6 months of joining the firm
- Moved to the Market Research division of one of the Big 4 Consulting firms as an Analyst and within 6 months reached the role of 'Practice Knowledge Coordinator' for APAC region
- Moved to a highly reputed global telecom house as an analyst where I was involved in working with teams across UK and Hong Kong in telecom sub-industries such as Spectrum, mobile for development, Mobile money, etc.
- Spearheaded (in collaboration with the India head) the transition of the India office to an an agile software tool, which helped improve the productivity of team by almost 15%

Extra Curricular : Dance trainer in a local dance studio, teaching dance to under privileged free of cost
- Served as the IEEE Chairperson in college and organized multiple education camps (these activities were however limited to college)

Post MBA goals : Join a consulting firm or a strategic position within a Tech, Telecom or Media firm
Concentration Industry : Telecom, Media & Entertainment, and Tech
Concentration Role : Consulting or strategy related roles

It would be great if I could receive your feedback about my profile? Also, if you could guide as to should I retake my GMAT? I can manage a 20-30 points improvement in my score, however I am concerned if investing 2-3 weeks right now is a wise option.

Also, if in your mind there are other schools I could may be target.

Hey there,
So the base of your profile is great!
Female, in Marketing, with a good job and a great GMAT!! You already stand out from the masses of Indian applicants which are predominantly male and in IT, and that will help greatly.

Your one weakness is your school/GPA (Im assuming you didnt go to IIT or you would have written it). But that's fine. With what you have your school list is totally reasonable. It will help if you have strong volunteer work and ECs as well.

Don't even THINK about taking the GMAT - not only is your GMAT good enough, getting higher won't help.

But basically: you are ready to go! Start getting to work on those applications and make them awesome to increase your chances.
