Hi,
First of all, I am overwhelmed with the volume of information that is available in the forum, thanks to expert people like yourself who have been enabling people to attain their dream of pursuing MBA.
As you would understand, I am new to set up and had some questions towards my quest of pursuing a global MBA degree. Please review through the information provided below and I sincerely hope that would equip you will all the information required to suggest me the way forward.
Background:
I am a chartered accountant from India with overall 10 years of post qualification experience. I also hold an additional certification from American CPA since past 6 years but not licensed as yet. I have the experience of working with global companies (American and European) in areas of accounting, taxation and financial reporting.
Extra curricular activity:
I have the experience of working as a part time lecturer in one of the private institutes which trains people to get CPA certification.
Expectation from MBA :
Since, I have the years of experience in finance and related field, I am keen on diversifying the skills into further niche areas of strategic consulting/ corporate finance. Based on the advice received from other senior members in the same field, I am keen on pursuing this course outside of India with an intent of gaining decent work experience as well.
Kindly advise me on the following:
Would an experienced candidate like me would be considered for US MBA? (finance specialization, no change)
Based on the background information provided above, let me know if I stand in a chance to have a 100% scholarship presuming that I manage to get a decent GMAT score (700+)
Can u recommend me some good colleges or programmes where I can seek further guidance, clearing the GMAT would be first priority though.
Knowing that visa regulations in the US would be a limiting factor from employment perspective, would it be wise decision from career standpoint to even consider Canada as an option
Apologies for making this long but I would appreciate if you can provide some insights on how I should be proceeding. Dedicated towards providing further information if required, thanks
SR
