Work Experience: IT - 5 years (Global Top 10 IT Service Providers - Forbes)
- Role: Tech Lead, Business Data Analytics - Currently lead 2 Projects + Handle client communications
- 3 promotions (2 early, Top 5%) - Expecting 1 more
Highest Degree: BE (Hons.) EIE (Tier 1 University - India) - GPA 5.95/10
GMAT: Jan 07 2018 (expecting 650)
MBA in: Information Management/General Management/Entrepreneurship
Goals: Short-term: Project Management & Networking
Long-term: AI & Machine Learning Start-up
Low GPA:
Majorly because of improper time management
Concentrated efforts on various National and Intra-college techfests (Won awards in both)
Last semester GPA - 7.0/10
Volunteering:
NGO1 - 2 years - 2012-2014 - English Teaching Volunteer + Mentor to students & other teachers
NGO2 - 1 year - 2013-2014 - Mentored a French Engineering Student - Giving him an exposure to India (Cross-culture program) + English
NGO3 - 2012 - present - In-house CSR - Organized blood donation camps & carnivals (proceeds were donated)
In-house Emergency Response Team member [Lifesupporters Institute of Health Sciences Certified 'Heart Saver First Aid CPR Provider']

Played football (soccer) & cricket (Inter/Intra-school & Intra-college)
Dance - I've performed at the office fest in 2015 - in-front of a crowd of about 20,000 total
Travel - I've been across many places in India, Middle East, Europe and America

Questions:
1. I am targeting outside of top 20 US & Canada, can you please help with my list based on my area of interest (i.e. IT/GM/Entre) split by stretch/competitive/safe?
- Stretch - McCombs, Kenan Flagler & Queens
- Competitive - Goizueta, McDonough, Kelley, Olin (St. Louis), USC Marshall, Rotman & McGill
- Safe - Fisher, Foster & HEC Montreal
I agree its a long list, but I will cut down to 7 [2+3+2]
2. Getting a recommendation from my current manager would be difficult...do you suggest an earlier direct supervisor or senior colleague from the same team?
3. Should I wait for a promotion and then apply in R3? Or can we provide an update to the university later and it would still count towards the admissions process?

Hey there,
I’d love to help you out but without more info it’s gonna be hard. Where do you work? What do you do? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements?
Also, a GMAT score will be very helpful.
To answer your other question: Round 3 is a big no-go for Indian candidates. So really you are aiming for Round 1 in 2018
