I have been working as an income tax inspector in Indian govt for the past 4 years. Can this be used as work experience for pursuing an MBA. Also I have been operating my own NGO for the past 3 years. What are my chances to convert a call letter from a decent b school given I have score 740 GMAT.

Thank you for your post, and congratulations on a 740 GMAT score! Your admission to an MBA program depends a lot on, not only your GMAT, GPA, and work experience, but also on how you weave you past experience into where you are heading and why an MBA. To begin addressing your questions, I would need more information about your (i) demographic, (ii) undergraduate GPA and Institution (was your undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution?), and (iii) career aspirations. In addition, I would like to learn more about your NGO, does it have funding, etc. Your experience working for the Indian Government counts as work experience, but with that too, I would like to learn more about your work there. The GMAT score you noted is very good, but there are multiple factors we must account for before providing additional information, and suggesting institutions for your MBA.
