Hello, I'm from South Korea and planning to do my master's degree in a business school in France.
Here is my profile
South Korea/Female/24 years old
Bachelor's degree: French language and literature (in Korea)
GMAT: 490 (I should work hard on it so that I can get around 600 or above)
Language:
Korean(native), French(DALF C1), English(TOEIC 970/OPIC AL)
Experience:
Several translating and interpreting job for French-Korean
Internship in Marketing department in a multinational cosmetic company for 6 months
Giving English lesson to Korean high school students
Experience in abroad:
Exchange student in France (5 months)
Language school in France (10 months)
Language school in the U.K.(8 months)
I'm trying to write the cover letter but I'm not really sure whether I should mention about my bachelor's degree, which is French language and literature as it is not related at all with business. (I'm thinking about applying for Msc marketing or Master in management)
And I hadn't taken any class related to business while I was in university.
But I thought I could mention the reason why I chose the French and what I learned through the courses.
I've been interested in communication with people from different cultures and I thought that learning language could've helped me to understand better different culture. And I learned not only language but also general knowledge about France and European culture through my classes in university.
Or should I just omit the part about my major in uni but write more about my experience as an intern?
And I actually don't know whether I should mention about the experience as an English teacher because it's not related to business or marketing but it could be seen as if I'm just really into languages...!
If you have any general tips for cover letter or my resume, please let me know !
Thank you
