Hi,
I am a 34 years old woman with 12 years of IT experience, 6 years onshore. I left my job late last year (maternity break) on a very good position.
After leaving IT, I have been working on my own Cafe which is my 2nd income option and am also working towards launching a startup in fashion industry.
I plan on taking GMAT next year June/July for 2021 intake. Depending on how the startup goes, I will either be interested in Luxery Brand Management, which is preferred, or an IT/Finance MBA which can relaunch me into IT world.
I had taken GMAT in 2008 with score 690 but didn't persu the MBA then as I got better opportunity in my job at the time. I am hoping to score 710-720 this time.
Can you please suggest if this is a good plan? What schools should I target? Also should I go for full time MBA or and executive MBA will be better? Please suggest good emba programs.

I would recommend an executive or part time MBA given your years of experience. If you're able to work remotely (not sure where you are located & if there are any part time MBA programs near by) a part time program could work well since that would allow you to continue working on your start up. Although your years of experience are in line with executive MBAs, you're not technically an executive (from what I can tell) so you might be a bit junior compared to your classmates there. That said, I think it's worth applying to a mix of both types of programs.
Assuming a score in the 710-720 range some good options would be the Cornell part time program or UCLA part time, both of which would put you in a good geographic location in terms of the fashion world (Cornell is a bit of a ways from NYC but has tons of alumni there). The EMBA at Columbia will be more of a stretch but is worth a shot assuming a 720. If your score does not improve I'd aim for schools that are a bit lower ranked but still have good part time programs, like Tepper, Georgetown & University of Washington.
