1. Bachelors in Technology ( Computer Engineering) from Non-IIT/NIT college. CGPA: 8.7/10
Work Experience - 7 Years (1.5 years in India, 5.5 Years in Japan)
Organisation :
Ansys Japan (3.5 years in Japan)
Presales specialist - Demonstrating features, capabilities and value of our solutions to potential customers. Participated in several deals that eventually became bookings. (Presentations were all in Japanese)
Organisation : Tata Consultancy Services (1.5 years in India, 2 years in Japan)
Worked with a major automotive manufacturer in their IT department, handling their sales and marketing portfolio.
Volunteering Experience:
1. Volunteered at dozens of events aimed at spreading Indian culture in Japan
2. Founder of one of the biggest Japanese culture related clubs in India

There are some really compelling things about your candidacy that stand out - multilingualism, Japanese work experience, interest in culture that’s more than just superficial, good GMAT & strong employer name recognition (Tata).
However, you probably already know that you are in one of the *most* over-represented demographics as a male Indian IT professional for the schools you mentioned. If you are to put your best foot forward with the MIT, Tepper, Tuck, Booth and Said applications, you need to make sure that you have a watertight admissions strategy. What are your short term goals post-MBA? Long term goals? How are these goals imminently possible based on your prior work experience + MBA. Answers to these questions are important bc schools want to make sure that you employed right after graduation. Employment stats are really important for rankings and AdComs want to make sure that you know what you want out of the experience and that you will be targeted and focused in your recruiting… they don’t want “soul searchers”.)
Overcoming the demographic challenge will require writing memorable essays. I love the Indian cultural focus during your time in Japan. Telling the right story about that could showcase not only your unique personality and passions but also your globally-focused paradigm, which all the schools care a lot about. Having international work experience, especially in Japan, will differentiate you from the other Indian men who share your professional background.
It’s hard to say without more information whether the schools you mentioned are a good bet, but on a cursory basis with the information presented here and a well-thought-out admissions strategy and flawless, memorable essays, I think you have a good chance.
