Dear Team
Please advise me on my prospects for a regular MBA (full-time 1-year/2-years) from Canada, Europe, Singapore.
Age - 34 years by September,2020
Work experience - 9 years as on July, 2020
Gender, Nationality - Male, Indian
GMAT - Not written yet
Preferred areas of work (post MBA) - Finance, General Management, Consultancy
Education-
(1) M. Tech in VLSI Design (University of Calcutta)-DGPA-8.81
(2) B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering-DGPA-8.46 (Private Engg College, India)
WorkExp-
1. Indian Public Sector Bank-2014 - to date (6 years)
2. TCS-2011-2014 - 3years
Though I have received an admit from the 2-year full-time MBA from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT, International Business) for 2020-2022, I want to do the MBA from good B schools of the aforementioned countries/continent. However, given my age, work ex duration and the current economic scenario, I am not sure
(1) if good B schools will accept me and
(2) will I be able to find jobs relevant to my preferred areas of work (post MBA)
Please advise
(1) if I have good chances of being selected and securing jobs thereafter -after an MBA from good B schools of Canada, Europe and Singapore
(2) If I do the two-year MBA from IIFT now and work for another 1-2 years after the MBA, can I apply to good B-schools of Canada, Europe and Singapore then (I will be 37-38 years old then) ?
(3) What programs other than an MBA look for using the talent and ability of candidates in overseas locations ? If MBA becomes untenable at such an age as in (2) above, I may consider doing such programs to improve my candidacy.
(4) if joining IIFT, New Delhi for an MBA at this stage would be a good option instead of applying to global B schools through GMAT
I sincerely look forward to hearing from you soon.
