Hey there,
Would greatly appreciate a profile eval and help understand my chances at a US top20 admit.
Generic Stats:
Indian
Male
26 y/o
Academics:
- GMAT Score: 710 (Q50, V36, IR8)
- B. Tech (Computer Engineering) from a tier 2 institute.
- CGPA: 7.07/10
Full-time work experience:
- Working for the past 3 years at one of the fastest-growing startups in India (Google's first direct investment in India)
- Heading operations for their second-largest city in terms of business volume; responsible for city's supply availability & positioning, partner earnings, Gross Margin & city P&L.
- Built and managed a team of 14; prior city launch XP
- USP: Dropped logistics costs sharply to make it the first-ever city to turn Gross Margin positive.
Internship experience:
- Interned with Uber for a period of 10 months during undergrad.
- Interned with a co-living spaces startup for a period of 6 months.
Post-MBA Plans:
Either Management Consulting, or BizOps/PM roles at FAANG/tech world.
- Planning to apply in R1 2021.
- Would be super glad if you could mention a few safe, target, and reach schools just in case GMAT stays the same.

(1) It sounds like you have some great work experience - that'll hopefully get you far in the process.
(2) I realize this is a brief posting, but I would refine your post-MBA goals. Make sure it somewhat ties to what you have done in your career and how an MBA would help you get to the next step. I don't see management consulting helping your profile. The same of FAANG/tech world unless you have a unique take or angle.
(3) Yes, the GMAT score is good but not great for someone coming from your demographic cohort. Is a re-take out of the question or are you planning to retake it but am just asking if a 710 ends up being your best score?
(4) Do you have any ECs or leadership accomplishments you can tout?
In general, you should have a good shot at a Top 20 US program, with an obviously better shot at the 12th-20th schools ranked, however you classify those. M7 is going to be a stretch even with a better GMAT.
To help you more specifically, do you have any preference for a type of program? Do you want to be in a particular geographic location? Since your post-MBA goals are vague, do you want a program that is known for a specific field of study? What about class size? Fill me in so I can be of more help.
