1. I am open for EMBA, but I am not sure about the scope of post EMBA employment opportunities for a career change. or if EMBA would provide as much scope if not better as full-time MBA for entry into management consulting or roles suitable for my profile.
Your thoughts?

For management consulting, the full-time MBA programs are better. You would have to lateral into a consultancy as an senior level "expert" and not a normal recruiting process. In general, the post-MBA employment opportunities are limited for EMBA since the program is really for people looking to remain in their jobs. Any job change would be made similarly to if you were not currently in an EMBA program.

2.Is there no institute from among the global top 25 that will consider my profile?

We are not saying that you can't get in. There are always instances of people who "break the mode" but it's a question of whether you have enough to offer or a unique story that would suggest you could add value and extra value to people who are 10 years your junior.

3.What about lower ranked universities, will they consider?

The ranking is not really the driving force. It's the nature of the full-time degree that isn't really geared for candidates aged 35+.

4.Will European Institutes such as IMD or HEC be open for my profile given the age red flag.

I don't believe geography changes our thinking. The same basic premise still applies.

Feel free to get a second or third opinion on this matter, but our general belief (and experience) is that candidates 35 or older face a real uphill battle for the traditional, full-time MBA program. It might not be worth the time and money to go through this process only to turn up empty despite your otherwise strong credentials.

Best,
