Hi folks!
I am very new to the GMAT prep and still discovering US B-schools, I want your opinion on my profile. Please help!
I am a 27y/o Indian Male, commerce under-grad from Delhi University I was a college topper for all six semesters and was actively involved in debation society (VP of the club) and commerce club. I have a *2 years gap* post that, my financial condition was in ruins so I moved back to my small hometown and gave tuition classes to kids.
Anyway, I got admission to a government Indian B-School where more than 60% of my fees were waived. I have a dual major in Finance and Marketing was in the top 10% of the class academically and was also the first one to get placed on campus.
10th ICSE - 88%, 12th ISC-84%, Bachelor of commerce- 85%, MBA- 85%
Work-ex: I have 2 years and 3 months (3 years by June 2022) of experience in consulting. I joined a Big 4 from my campus in Deal Advisory and Research and have exposure to Strategy and M&A. I got promoted to Senior within 1 year and 3 months in that firm. After spending exactly 2 years in my first Big4 I moved to Management Consulting in another Big 4 in the Deals and Strategy team.
I plan to move to MBB in Strategy consulting in US (Big 4 fallback option) or FAANG strategic roles.
I am looking to join one year MBA at Cornell and Kellog or 16 months program of Columbia or 20 months program at Wharton(far-fetch dream).
Does my profile make the cut. I have scored around 93%ile in CAT (Indian GMAT) so I am pretty sure I can score above 700 in GMAT very easily.
Do you think I can get a shortlist and what are the pros and cons of my profile?

Q: Does my profile make the cut?
A: Yes, there is no reason why you are not qualified. You do need to check for each school if you are allowed to apply given that you technically already hold an MBA. For those you mentioned, I am fairly certain based on the below description that your MBA will not disqualify you.
For Cornell: You are eligible to apply, but you will need to use the optional essay to explain why you are pursuing another MBA.
For Kellogg: Previously earned degrees, even MBA’s, do not disqualify you from applying to Kellogg.
For Columbia: Having previously completed an MBA at another institution will not necessarily decrease your chances of acceptance. However, we ask that you clearly explain why you feel a second MBA from Columbia will assist you in your pursuit of your short-term and long-term goals. Please also keep in mind that some of the MBA courses you have already completed may be redundant with the MBA curriculum at Columbia.
For Wharton: Yes, you can apply. We do not exclude candidates who have an MBA or any other graduate degree. You should, however, fully explain your reasons for pursuing a second MBA in your application.
Q: I have scored around 93%ile in CAT (Indian GMAT) so I am pretty sure I can score above 700 in GMAT very easily.
A: That's great to hear. Scoring well above 700 on the GMAT - especially for Indian males - is important for getting admitted to these top schools.
Q: Do you think I can get a shortlist and what are the pros and cons of my profile?
A: On the con/constructive side: a big issue you will face is explaining why you need the (second) MBA, especially since you have so much relevant experience in the consulting/strategy space. Your gap is not a big deal at all. You also need to explain that in your optional essay. Your extracurricular activities look decent but not outstanding.
On the pro/advantageous side: it sounds like you have a strong academic background, solid work experience and likely a good GMAT to make you a viable candidate.

I have a follow-up question. At the time of admission do we need to show some kind of proof for extracurricular activities(ECA) we are involved in.
For e.g. I was pretty invested in the Public Relations club of my Bschool but I don't have a certificate to prove that.
Other ECA, I have certificates for but I am not sure if they add to my profile:
1. I have participated in debates, extempores, declamations since my school days from class 1 to class 12.
2. I was also a student coordinator of the international Conference during my Under graduation at Delhi University(DU).
3. I was also elected as Liaison officer of the commerce club in DU where I acted as a student leader and worked with college management to solve problems faced by commerce undergrads.
4. I have a brief stint as Quiz Master of English Literature club as well.
5. I have qualified the level 1(out 3 levels) of the Indian Chartered Accountant exam. I was not interested in this stream so I didn't pursue it any further.
6. I have practiced under a Chartered Accountant firm for a brief period of 6-8 months where I learned accounting stuff but I dropped as I wasn't interested to pursue it (This work-ex is apart from my full time consulting work-ex)
7. I have been actively involved in NSS activities (National Service Schemes) and Environmental clubs.
8. I also did two internships (1 month in UG & 2 months in MBA) under IFCI - Industrial Finance Corporation of India (first bank of Independent - India) Infrastructure division in Finance and Accounts division.
Can you please guide me if these activities are relevant and how do they add to my profile?
Also with same profile do I make cut for Harvard and Stanford or they are out of the league foe my profile?
