Hi,
I had a question regarding when acceptances are handed out. From your experience, what percentages of the acceptance are sent out on the on the decision deadline date vs how many are sent out before that date.
Scenario 1:
Applied for round 2 in Jan 1. Final decision deadline March 1
Its Feb 25 and you did not get interview. What are the chances of getting interview last few days?
Scenario 2:
Applied for round 2 in Jan 1. Final decision deadline March 1
You were invited to interview Jan 20. You completed your interview Jan 25.
Its Feb 25th. What are the chance that you will get accepted?
These are with regards to T10 schools in US, LBS and INSEAD.

Its Feb 25 and you did not get interview. What are the chances of getting interview last few days?
--> It is very unlikely you will receive an interview. The school needs to give you time to schedule the interview, let the interview actually happen, then give time for the interviewer to write up his or her notes, and then for the AdCom to factor that into their decision. You're more likely going to be rejected or deferred to the next round, if there is one remaining.
Scenario 2:
Applied for round 2 in Jan 1. Final decision deadline March 1
You were invited to interview Jan 20. You completed your interview Jan 25.

--> The timing here does not give any indication about acceptance other than that you are in a better category than those who were not invited to interview.
Each school does have slightly different policies and procedures, but the assessment above is broadly true for most of the programs you noted.

I understand now. Your chance of getting acceptance doesn't change just because the decision deadline is close by. if you did your interview, your chance of getting accepted the week after the interview is the same as on the last day when they release the decision.
