Hi
Admissionado!
Industrial engineer from South America. 32 years old. Male.
7 years of experience in a small commercial real estate development and consultancies firm, and also in hospitality, both at the same time (I worked for the same people in both firms). I worked in many different roles, always reporting to the partners or CEO (again, small firms), with high responsibility for budgets and execution, but I was never formally promoted or had formal titles. I quit that job just before the pandemic began, and haven’t been employed since then (more than two years, voluntarily so far). How bad is it? What schools could/should I apply to if I can tell my story correctly and compellingly and get a, let’s say, very high GMAT score? Should I try to get the best possible job before applying? I’ve been busy and improving my fundamentals all this time out, I think I have a story to tell, but not that much to show in terms of outcome.
Others: While studying, I was assistant professor for economics and participated for 2 years as a social housing volunteer where I got to be construction manager of the organization and received a principles and values distinction. Graduated cum laude.
Thank you very much for your help!
