Hi
I have studied a few of your profile evaluations and am glad to have come across such in depth suggestions
If you get the time, I would love to get some advice for my profile as well
Planning to apply for incoming batch: 2024
Age: 23 Years

Extra info – All India Rank under 100, in Joint Entrance Exam (the exam to get admitted to IITs and other engineering colleges) (among 1.3 million candidates)

Primary developer of a couple of major features quickly adopted throughout the firm

2 months management consulting internship in Strategy& (part of PwC) (but nothing impactful to talk about here)
Extra Curriculars
After College:
• Kaunteya: Director (part time) : Handling pricing, procurement and website for a luxury D2C startup. This startup is founded by my mother and is 2 years old, I have developed the domestic and international pricing of the products and manage, negotiate and communicate with the manufacturers
College Level:

Events Coordinator in Tryst 2019 (IITD’s technical festival) Led a 3-tier team of 40+ to facilitate 70+ events
Short & Long Term Goals
Right after MBA I would like to go to a PM role in top tech companies like FAANGM, Uber and others.
In the longer term would like to start a tech venture of my own (not sure about what right now)
Target Schools
First preference: HBS, Stanford, Wharton, MIT Sloan
Unsure but would probably go to: Booth, Kellogg, Columbia
Questions:
1) My role is highly technical and fear it would not fit well in my MBA profile, should I change to a more PM kind of role (even though it would mean a salary cut of upto 70% of my current compensation)
2) I don’t have any social impact on my resume, how much does it matter
3) If I switch to a PM role, should I join a startup or a company which does social impact work through tech
4) Another option that I have is join my mother’s startup and can show impact there, but the startup is not related to tech and is in retail/e-commerce sector (selling premium homewares)
5) I currently have a 331 in GRE, should I retake the GRE/ take the GMAT, I believe I could get a 750+ score
