With 10+ work experience, Executive MBA is more appropriate. I would suggest that you target higher GMAT score and apply in R2. Also, any kind of profile improvement or showcasing it in depth in terms of extracurriculars would be helpful.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply!

I wanted to know if an executive MBA would help me in an industry/role change? I have usually seen people do executive MBA's to gain growth trajectory in their current industry or role.
Will an executive MBA help me?

Yes, an Executive MBA is a great option for someone with your background. Bear in mind, the program is different in nature. The students are more experienced and are less inclined to pursue career changes. Depending on the structure, it could be part-time on weekends, part-time during the week, etc.

I would strongly recommend you attend a very information sessions (many are online thanks to Covid-19) so you can learn more about what these programs can do for people in your position. You may find that the advantages of attending are nicely aligned with your ambitions or you may realize that it's not a good fit. The more research you do now, the better prepared you will be to make the right decision and put together the stronger application.

If my team can be of help with either or both parts of that process, kindly let us know.
