Hello Admissionado, It would be helpful if you can take a look at my profile. Like many applicants, I have tons of questions. So here it goes: - Demographic: 29F from a Southeast Asia country (not Singapore! developing countries like Laos, Cambodia, etc.) - UG GPA: 3.14/4.0 from a top local university (my graduation ranking: 13/92), a program partially taught in French. Majored in Business and Economics. Plenty of quant classes. Total BSc. credits: 140 credits. My college is considered the top 1 in the country since many alums went to HSW. Since my program is taught in French, not many people got in. Hence, you only see 92 ppl in my class. I was trying to find a reason to explain my seemingly low GPA, but apparently, it does not matter to the adcom: low is low, and I'm not going to tell a sob story so I'm going to skip it.- Test score: GRE 315, AWA 3.5 (plan to retake)- WE: I started working earlier than most people: - 1.5 years in Japan as a marketing executive for a technology company. A publicly listed, large company.
- 3.5 years in Fintech corporation as Country Marketing Manager/Business Manager in my country. Publicly listed, large company. Promoted twice. 2 direct reports. Non direct reports: 10 (contractors)
- 5 years as Global Head of Marketing (Corporate rank: Director) for a technology company in my country - the largest one in revenue and human resources. Promoted once. I cover several regions: Germany, France, Japan, part of APAC (mostly Singapore), and part of North America (mostly the US, and to be more specific: Atlanta, GA). Direct reports: 4; non-direct reports: 6.
- Achievements: Top 0.03% of best performers of the company. Best performer award every year from 2017 through different companies (I'm not a good test-taker, but I'm good at my job)
- EC: Led club in college: a national project for language teaching (Japanese and English) for local students; the project also fosters international student exchange. After-college EC includes being the chair of an annual Cloud and Data hackathon in my country. - LOR: Current boss, who is VP of the company (he's like an internet celebrity, search his name and tons of results will appear); direct reports-
Languages (apart from my native language): French, Japanese, English - all fluent. I covered several markets so apparently, I have to speak their languages.
-
Other: Currently a start-up owner while working full-time (and being a mom!). Start-up is kinda successful as my company has become a notable contractor for some state-owned companies. Public sector is hard to get in, given that I'm the sole owner of the company and I don't come from money/power. So the fact that our company became a contractor for the government is proof that we have skills.

Post-MBA goal: Venture Capital in Technology
So my questions are, well, I'll try to be simple and realistic but can't help with tons and tons of crazy thoughts:
- Which MBA program is the best suited for my profile? Ofc, everyone wants a slot in M7 but given my test score, I don't think I'm competitive enough. Even if I'm able to fix my score, I may be too old to apply for M7 - as I gather from the stats that most applicants have 5 years of experience, and I'm on the extreme end: 9 years (talking about having 7 years of experience fresh out of college? that's me!)
- If I consider EMBA, do you think it is a reasonable choice, given my post-MBA goal? Also, I talked to a BD Manager of Oxford EMBA and he said even when I can apply, I'm a little too young for EMBA as the cohort will be around 40 y/o.
I actually applied to 1 school for R1 this year. But I don't think I stand a chance with those 755 GMAT FE so I figure that I should come here and ask to plan for my next steps.
I appreciate if you could help me evaluate my profile.
