Hey, can you please do a profile review for deferred MBA program

BTech - IIT Kanpur / Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (8.2/10 - Top 5 in class out of 10 , not sure though If I can get a proof from college about this. Got this data from net scraping of academic portal)

Work ex - Internship at BCG and got a pre placement offer
- Worked at a Medtech startup in 2nd year to develop user journey of their app
- Working with a SF based VC firm on their Bio-Tech sector thesis focused on India Markets

Startup experience - Started a consulting agency. Onboarded and worked with International clients on Education, Sustainability and Pharmaceutical sectors

Extra curricular - Worked in the core team of Entrepreneurship cell, IIT Kanpur / We organised different events to foster entrepreneurship and managed budget of double digit Lakhs (above 50) for our flagship event. Managed team of 30 2nd year students and 50 1st year students.

- Worked with IIT - Kanpur consulting group to do pro-bono consulting project with Government of India's think tank

- Gold in Inter IIT - Tech Meet / 1st position out of teams from 22 IITs

- National finalist in GMC (global management challenge)

- As a volunteer in GoogleAI4SG program

Research projects - Working with research group developing India's first artificial heart device

GMAT - Not given yet but mocks suggest something around 710 - 720 in FE

My main worry is GPA :( / LT goal - startup in pharma or health-tech sector

GPA is not a concern in my view; the high competition in deferred is. Get that GMAT score of 705+ to build a strong defence. Thereafter, it will depend on the content and structure of your narratives, etc.

But still if I have to place my bet on a few schools ? Which one should they be based on my profile?

GPA is not a concern in my view; the high competition in deferred is. Get that GMAT score of 705+ to build a strong defence. Thereafter, it will depend on the content and structure of your narratives, etc.

Sid, wrong question. MBA is a milestone, not a destination. School selection is as much a science as an art. Without a view to your destination, would you use a GPS navigation system? This is like Alice in Wonderland—if you don't know where to go, then any road (read school) is fine.

Destination - a venture in pharma or health-tech sector :)

That could mean anything: entrepreneurship, healthcare, or tech. Go through the employment reports of different schools and identify where do their strengths lie, what the class profiles are like, etc.
