Hi everyone,
I’m seeking an honest assessment of my profile for the ISB PGP 2027–28, particularly my chances of receiving an interview shortlist.
Academics
  • 10th: 7.6 CGPA
  • 12th: 64%
  • Graduation: 6.99 CGPA
  • GMAT: 755 GMAT FE
  • No academic awards
I’m concerned that my academic record, especially my 12th-grade score, may weaken my application.
Work Experience
I joined my organisation as an intern in September 2022 and converted to full-time. Since then, I have progressed through:
  • Business Analyst
  • Senior Business Analyst
  • Manager
  • Senior Manager
I received a promotion each year after conversion, all within the same organisation. I currently work in performance marketing across e-commerce, BFSI and FMCG/healthcare, with responsibilities spanning client management, campaign strategy, business growth, stakeholder management and team leadership.
Leadership and Recognition
  • Managed and mentored junior team members
  • Contributed to team members’ professional growth
  • Received internal awards and client appreciation
  • Taken on increasing responsibility with each promotion
Extracurriculars and Family Business
  • Participated in college fests and events
  • Long-term football hobby
  • Played Taekwondo in school and won medals
  • No major national- or state-level achievements
During COVID, I also helped in my father’s business, which supplies brands such as Havells through CPC, CSD and defence canteens. I supported operations, customer interactions, coordination and business-related activities. This gave me exposure to entrepreneurship, distribution, institutional procurement and operational problem-solving.

Career Goals
Short term, I want to move from performance marketing into a broader growth, marketing strategy or general management role.
Main Questions
With 7.6 / 64% / 6.99 academics, a 755 GMAT, approximately four years of work experience, rapid promotions and managerial experience, how competitive would this profile be for an ISB PGP interview shortlist?
I would especially appreciate feedback on:
  1. How significantly might my academic scores affect my application?
  2. Does a 755 meaningfully offset the academic profile?
  3. Is my career progression strong enough to be competitive?
  4. How should I present my family-business experience?
  5. Is this a realistic application or a very high-risk one?
I’m particularly interested in feedback from people familiar with ISB admissions or applicants with similar profiles.
