Dear Sir,
Please Help me in evaluating my profile & suggesting me the colleges that I should apply.
Age :23
Country: India
Work Ex: 2.2 years(so far) in an MNC- Infosys Technologies Limited
GMAT Score: 680
Education : Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from one of the premiere institutes & oldest University of the NAtion
GPA: 3.3
Experience:
Worked in Infosys right from the beginning of the career. Grew from a normal systems Engineer to a role of Techno Functional Consultant.
Got Extensively trained on the basics of Computer Engineering & Specialised in Oracles Devolopment tools.
Gained considerable expertise in Oracle transportation Management- a tool devoloped to plan logistics to organizations.
Handled quite a few projects successfully like NIke, Raulf Lauren & APL Logistics.
Cirricular:
Schooling was strong & Did various projects at Under graduate level. Apart from reasonably good acads, managed designing & manufacturing a
Go Kart Vehicle.
Extra Cirricular:
Strong Leadership skills from childhood. Managed in holding & organizing one of the biggest collegiate fest of the State.
Also was a part of various voluntary camps like Blood Donations -etc
Managed to adopt a school with a bunch of volunteers and educated the kids to bring them to a competent level.
Please suggest
1.The colleges I shud apply with the score attained.
2.Also help me in resolving the dillema of taking Gmat again. If yes, please suggest the score I shud target with the given profile.
3. Devolopments I need to make my profile stronger for top colleges.

Hi Karthik,
Thank you for submitting your profile. Currently, your profile is very typical of an Indian Male IT candidate. With your current profile, I think you could target programs like UT Austin McCombs, USC Marshall, Indiana, Smeal... This is a random list of programs as I don't know what you're looking for in a school, but I'd basically say aim for lower Tier 1 and upper to mid Tier 2 programs.
To improve your competitiveness, you should consider retaking the GMAT and aiming for a score of at least 700+, with an 80th percentile or above on each section. Many candidates in your pool score in the 750 range on GMAT though, so that's something to be aware of and try to aim for as well. You might also wait a year in order to gain additional leadership experience - while you've worked with really big clients, your experience is very much technical in nature versus business leadership, and another year on the job could help you gain more business type experience. Finally, I'd suggest that during that year, you take on formal extracurricular and community activities to show that you are a multi-dimensional candidate.
