Hello,
Thanks for submitting your profile. As you may know, as an Indian Male IT professional, you have to work extra hard to differentiate yourself from candidates in your pool. I think your solid community service role will really help to differentiate you. However, your GMAT score is going to be a weakness in your profile.
To truly answer your question, I would need to know more about what you are looking for in an MBA program. It is important to consider fit - does the program specialize in the areas you want to go into? Is it in a location you want to be in? Does it provide the teaching styles, culture, facilities that you'd like? It's a big investment and you should put a lot of thought on the front end into what type of program you are looking for.
All that said, in terms of a range of programs to try for... I'd suggest on the high end you try for Tepper and that you target programs like Ohio State, Boston University, Texas A&M, etc. I'd stay roughly within that range of programs, but really search for the ones that appeal to your needs.
Best,
Mili
Hello Mili,
Thanks for your response but my work experience is not in IT , i work in computer engineering domain , to be more specific i work on designing CPU's and validating different protocols. Does this help my case ?
I am planning to apply in round 2 this year and i am mainly looking to go in strategic planning in the technical domain.
Thanks,
