Hi,
I really need a guidance. I completed my Bachelor in Science and after that I did my MBA (from not top school) with 7.8 and currently I'm working in Taiwan government as in Management area. I'm thinking of redoing my MBA because it will help me to grow in my career . can anyone tell me whether is it good to retake an MBA again in Top B school so that it will help me or else can I take MS in Management .

Pursuing a 2nd MBA degree is very debatable; on one hand, yes, an MBA from a top-ranked US or top Global MBA program can open more doors and provide great networking opportunities. But it is still an MBA and therefore on your resume for example you'll have 2 of the same degrees which could bring up questions as opposed to adding value with a different type of degree or achievement. It is POSSIBLE to be accepted into some top US programs with a lower tiered MBA but not easy, and some schools specifically discourage it. No matter what you would have to really work on a compelling case for why you need another MBA degree for your goals and career. I would suggest spending time deciding what your next career goals are first, and then working backwards to determine what is needed to get you there, either in terms of next job steps or academics. Wishing you the best in your decisions!

Thank you so much for your suggestion. I'm thinking of taking GMAT and then go for Fellow Program Management (Doctorate) in IIM . I thought that getting an FPM will surely make my career shine but I really wanted to know. will companies hesitate because I did FPM or else it will add up to my career? Because it is equal to a Doctorate and after completing that is it possible to work in MNC usually people after completing doctorate straight away work in university or research area but i really dont want to do both. Please assist me.
