Hi,
I'm just wondering if my profile warrants an application to either the HBS or GSB 2+2 programs or if my best bet is to wait for regular application/admission cycles.
Asian male
Current junior at a top 15 US university, graduating in 2015 with a BA in political science, MS in computer science
3.72 GPA
Sophomore summer at a market research company
Junior summer (upcoming) at a highly funded, pre-IPO tech company, BD role
At least two strong recommendations, one from partner in a failed startup, one from political science research experience
ECs: Junior Achievement, two student businesses (web design, Groupon clone), fraternity position (raised $15k+ in philanthropy event)
Goal: Either an education startup in B-school if it works out, otherwise product/strategy in a tech company

Hi there,
Thanks for posting. Overall it sounds like you have a solid profile so far, with a strong GPA, the BA with the MS, your various positions and start up experience plus extracurriculars and recommendations. Have you taken or plan to take the GMAT yet? That could be an important factor, but overall if I were you and very set on b-school yes I'd go ahead and apply and give it a shot. Just be sure you are able to clearly articulate why b-school is right for you and how you envision it helping you achieve your career goals etc. And think about what experiences you've had thus far that you feel will help you to contribute to your b-school class. And work on that GMAT if not yet! Let us know what other q's you have, and good luck!

Just blows my mind looking at the U turn .. From hard core humanity subject- Political science to Full on Science, Tech and Eng. subject - Computer science !!
The beautiful people at GMAT Club keeps me reminding - Nothing is Impossible (in academics at least )
