Thank you for all of the further insight into your background, that is helpful to better understand where you are coming from etc.

The promotions and recognition at work are a good thing; try to also emphasize any leadership skills/people skills you feel you've developed in addition to the analytical skills etc.

Re: the GMAT, it's not a huge problem to take it 3 x's if you are still considering that... schools take the highest score. If well below the average at your desired schools, they'd almost question why not give it one more shot, if that makes sense.

All things considered, at this point I'd still stick with my original advice on applying to the tiers you've mentioned, unless maybe you see a big change in GMAT in time perhaps.
