Hi,
I am hoping to get some advice wrt whether i can successfully attempt the following universities for MBA in the US
1. Darden
2. Stern
3. Booth
4. Columbia
Brief profile -
Indian Male
27 Yrs old
B Pharmacy in the year 2009
Mumbai University
MET's Institute of Pharmacy
3.4 GPA
Current Profession -
6 YRS WORK EX
2nd Generation Entrepreneur.
Technical Director in Pharmaceutical Company (Family Owned)
Managing Director in Pharmaceutical Company (Family Owned)
3 Manufacturing Plants. Exports & Domestic.
3 Separate organisations Started & Founded by me since 2009 - all 10 crore rs + Authorized Capital
2 are profit making companies
MD / Chairman in all 3 companies
Previous Intern Work Exp (During Collage & 1 Yr after)
6 months - Ireland - Servier Pharmaceuticals
3 Months in over 5 Indian / Multinational Pharmaceutical companies - Wockhardt, IPCA, Sandoz, Novartis etc.
Extra Curricular
1. Head of SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle - that liaisons with Govt for Clusters)- 5 Clusters Approved by Govt of India for Improving Productivity in the Following Sectors - Pharma, Seed, Packaging, OEMs, Steel
2. Executive Member of Chamber - CMIA - It includes Companies like Videocon, Bajaj, Endress, Mylan etc..
3. Vice President of Alumni association (school + 2 )
4. Secretary of Cultural Group Affiliated to Lokmat Newspaper
5. Active Member of CII
6. Head Member of Young Entrepreneurs Group Forum. (Local Forum Started with over 100 Members)
Apart from this i am also associated with Several CSR Activities -
Ramakrishna Mission
Hedgewar Trust
Civil Rights Member for Prison inmates
Training to Teachers of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Adoption of ITI Institutes

So the schools you list are all very competitive, especially Booth and Columbia. I always recommend applying to a wider range of programs, if you're set on doing your MBA this year, so perhaps seek to add a safer option too. I'd say your GPA is good, your GMAT is good too (though not amazing for your demographic where we often see 730s and up). I think your work experience seems strong and not the most typical path plus you have a mix of experience in manufacturing and a family business which should make for some interesting stories to write about in your application essays. Your extracurriculars seem like a real strength too - seems like you've taken on a lot of leadership roles in your industry which is definitely something b-schools will value.
You don't mention anything about your post-MBA goals so I'd say that's the only unknown / area for more work. Make sure you're doing your research about viable post-MBA career options and how you're going to make the transition (or if you're not planning to change industries, how you're planning to use the MBA to elevate your skills). Try to be very specific here too.
There's no way to predict your chances unfortunately
but depending on how you frame up your career story and how you articulate your fit with each school, I think you could attempt the schools on your list. But I would stlil recommend a safer option, like something in the 10-20 range to diversify your risk.
