Hi there - good luck with the GMAT retake - I hope you reach your target score! Remember that your university GPA will matter too when it comes to schools assessing your academic abilities. I'm assuming that's strong if you got a job placement at a top firm. In terms of general profile advice...the only thing that jumps out at me based on the limited info is to drill down a bit more into your goals around consulting. What kind of consulting do you hope to do? Coming from a technical field can be difficult so what transferable skills do you have now that will help you succeed in consulting? This will be especially important since you are considering 1 year programs and you'll have less time to make that transition.
As for schools, here are a few to consider that I believe all have 1 year programs...
In the US: Kellogg (though this would be a stretch), Cornell, Emory, USC, Notre Dame
In Europe: IE Business School, SDA Bocconi, Cambridge, Oxford
In Canada: HEC Montreal
There may be others but those are the ones that come to mind for having 1 year programs. Good luck with your research and keep us posted if we can help!
