I would greatly appreciate any help in determining the strength of my current profile going into Round 1 2016/17! Thank you so much!
Hispanic Male - First Generation to go to college in the US - US Citizen
GMAT: 740 (49Q 42V 5.0AW 8IR)
Employment: 3 years Technology Consulting for IBM, and 2 years consulting at a private smaller firm presently. Worked across many Fortune 500 clients through both firms. Expedited promotion to Senior Consultant while at IBM and have been promoted to more leadership roles within current private firm with the number of direct and indirect reports varying across projects.
College Extracurriculars: Held 2 officer positions within an engineering honor society and participated in a few other organizations as well.
Post College Extracurriculars: Officer Lead in social networking group for the consultants of my firm that reside in the city I live in, also one of 4 Co-Founders of a technology strategy group within my company that influences the company's objectives and strategies for future technology projects.
Undergraduate University: Public Ivy Top 10 Engineering College
Degree / Major: Electrical Engineering
GPA: 3.5
Post-school aspirations: Transition to Management Consulting
Applying to: HBS, Wharton, Stanford, Columbia, Booth all Round 1

Thanks for your post. Congrats on the solid GMAT. I like that you've worked both for IBM and for a smaller firm, and across a number of clients at both, and you've been promoted and recognized. You also have some leadership outside of school and work so that is another plus, and your grades are strong. No glaring weaknesses per se, so things look good to start with even for top schools, but just keep in mind that it is SO competitive at these schools, and particularly so among engineers, so ultimately your ability to dig deep and show what you bring to the program that others won't will be critical to the final decisions. Be sure to spend plenty of time brainstorming about your stories and experiences and strengths, and then working on those essays to help convey the real 'you'. Let us know if/how we can help!
