Hi there - congrats on the big improvement in your overall score! No, I don't think you need to reinstate the old score. IR is becoming more important but it's still unclear what, if any, specific scores on the IR schools are looking for. I've heard some say they really only have concerns if they see something like 0-2 in the IR score. And we know that the overall score and quant / verbal scores are much more important. So if you want to reinstate, it can't hurt, but I don't think you need to.
Good luck!

Hi
Test 1: 640 Q48 V29 IR 7 - cancelled
Test 2: 730 Q49 V41 IR 4
Above is my stat for my past two attempts in GMAT. IR went ok for my first trial but i literally bombed the section in the second trial whose overall score came out fine. In this case, i am wondering whether reinstaing the old score is a right strategy to cover up my low IR score in the second exam. Hearing some chatters that schools have begun to factor in IR score and this rumor concerns me a bit. Would appreciate any advice/feedback. Thanks
