Hi all,
I am presently working as a manager in a textile firm. It has been 5 months since I took this job. Earlier I have been associated with an IT company for an year. I'm planning to do a MBA in finance (2018 batch)
I have not much knowledge about the finance field. So I am thinking to take up full time internship in finance related jobs and learn about finance. Do you think this step will help me during the admission process as I will have some background in finance?

So there's a lot I don't know about you at present
(what job you did previously; how much leadership and management experience and related accomplishments you may have to draw from, how soon you'd like to apply (ie do you mean to START in 2018?), what region of the world or types of schools you may be interested in....
All that said, if your longer term goals are related to finance, it is always helpful to try and get your foot in the door. If an internship is most feasible at this point that works; ideally or ultimately a more standard role would be preferred but perhaps an internship would lead you to that. Keep us posted over time as you figure out next steps and identify q's we can help with!
