GMAT: 730 (Q48, V42)
Undergrad: Virginia Tech - 3.62 GPA
Degree: B.S. Finance and B.S. Accounting (dual degrees)
Work Experience - 7 years
- 2013-2017 Middle market investment bank; promoted from Analyst to Associate in 2015
- 2011-2013 General Electric; completed 6 month work assignments across East Coast and in Florence, Italy
Other Experience
- Grew up in the Middle East (11-18 years old)
- Founding member of the young alumni advisory counsel to Virginia Tech's business school
- Consistent philanthropy experience - raised over $10k for a local food bank in college as the philanthropy chair for my fraternity. Most recent experience has been on the participant side without notable leadership roles (Junior Achievement, Special Olympics, local soup kitchen)
Post-MBA targets: middle market private equity, corporate development for growing company, venture capital
Target schools: Fuqua, Sloan, Booth, Darden, HBS, Haas, Wharton

Hi there, and thanks for writing! You have solid academics, progressive work experience, and good outside involvement. I think that Fuqua and Darden are right within your range, while HBS, Sloan, Haas, and Wharton are likely reaches given the heavily represented nature of your profile and their lower acceptance rates - however, I don't think they're out of reach for you if you make a strong case for why each program is a good fit for you. When describing your post-MBA goals, be sure to describe what drives you towards them. Also, on your resume, be sure to highlight your accomplishment and impact (vs. simply listing your key responsibilities, as I've seen on many resumes).
