Hi,
I just took my first GMAT exam a few days ago, but I was kicked out from the test since I pulled out a paper out of my bag during my break time.
I know it is not a good excuse but I was focused on preparing the exam itself and didn't realize it was a violation until they told me.
My score got canceled and customer service team said there will be "misconduct" on my score report, but they're not sure how exactly GMAC will inform the schools that I want to apply. It was my fault and a truly painful experience.
I've read some threads, and some recommended that explaining this "briefly" as an optional essay (just to avoid the chance that they think I was cheating, which is nothing that I intended to..)
and some said it could be a chance to tell a story (as an optional essay), letting the school committee know how I embrace defeat and turned it into a valuable experience.
Could you provide some of your advice on my situation?
Or perhaps taking GRE instead would be a better option?
Since I only plan to apply 1~2 business schools, I'm so worried now.
Please kindy help!
Thank you.
