-26 years old Asian Male (U.S. Green Card Holder, will be a citizen by the beginning of January)
-Top 50 school
upside(s):
-4.00/4.00 major GPA in media science courses
-3.93/4.00 minor GPA in minors of business and marketing
-Four years of full-time working experiences (two years as a full-time student, another two years as a college dropout) in marketing, advertising and sales (yacht and helicopter sales)
-High performance sales rep with a $3 M in annual revenue
-Recently promoted to a marketing/advertising coordinator for the same business
-323 GRE (near-perfect quant score)
downside(s):
-a very low 3.02/4.00 GPA cumulative GPA in media science with a marketing/advertising concentration (I took tons of high level math courses and received mainly C's)
-2.12/4.00 Math GPA
-Took seven years to receive an undergraduate degree (a two-year gap, switched major once as a senior, full time job...)
-640 GMAT, I'll most likely not take it again.
Do you think I have a strong case of landing an admission from a reputable online/part-time program, such as Boston University or Fordham University? Or what are some schools that I can also add into my consideration? Thank you so much

Admissions committees will look at your profile holistically, analyzing your stats, work experience, and any extracurriculars.
Your GRE is strong so that’s a nice start. You’ll certainly want to report that as opposed to your 640 GMAT. Regarding your GPA, an overall 3.02 isn’t too bad, but it is still worth mentioning in an optional essay. You’ll want to discuss how the math courses you took were very high level. Additionally, you’ll need to explain why it took you a few extra years to finish your degree. Make sure to not make excuses, to be brief, and ideally to show what you learned from that experience.
As for your work experience, definitely emphasize any leadership type roles you had, including any mentoring/coaching/training. It looks like you have done well in your sales role, and it’s great you were promoted. Be sure to emphasize any time you took the initiative to make an impact.
You didn’t list any extracurriculars, but hopefully you have been deeply involved in at least one where you can demonstrate your impact there as well.
If you can do a nice job explaining some of your downsides, emphasizing your work experience, and discussing clear goals and why you want an MBA, I do think you have a shot at a reputable part-time on online program. Good luck! Feel free to sign up for a free consultation.
