Hello,
I am 24 year old Female from India. My details below:
-10 th - 9.4 CGPA (CBSE)
-12 th - 95.6% (Commerce- CBSE)
- B.com(Hons.) - Sri Venkateswara College
- Three college internships - Philips, Genpact and a startup. The Genpact internship project was a transition management project for 2 months. I was the batch manager and during my term took charge of three out of four stages of transition. The project was directly under a senior manager.
- Two leadership positions: college council and Art Club.
- Several other Extra Curricular Activities in college- Finance Cell Member, Fest Organisation etc
- 3 Years 3 months of work experience at Deloitte in Audit Practice. Received three awards during my tenure. I have worked for the investment management clients- Mutual Funds and Private Equity. Got an accelerated promotion. I was also leading an Audit process for the past 2 years for one of the biggest mutual fund client and interacting with the client in US directly. I was also involved with the Deloitte Employee Giving Program, Social Events Committee and Onboarding Team.
- 10 months of Part time work at a creative startup as a Business Developer. Acquired clients by presenting creative ideas and also helped diversify the business to increase revenue in operations.
- Passionate about art and started an Art blog on social media in November 2017, the blog now has 1050 + follower; also selling my artwork on Esty.com. I organised an eco friendly wedding earlier this year.
- Wrote a research paper on "Role of Women in Environment Sustainability" along with a professor. The paper was invited by Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management.
- Got selected as a talent in Unleash 2019 taking place in Shenzhen, China. Unleash is a global innovation lab, which gathers 1,000 talent annually to collaborate on solutions to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. There were 8,000 applicants from 182 countries this year.
Post MBA i want to work as a Sustainability/CSR/Management consultant.
Taking GMAT in August. Should i take it again if i get less than 700?
I am looking at ISB, NUS, Canadian and London Universities for 1/2 year MBA program. Should i consider any other country?

The application process is truly holistic, and committees will look at your stats (GPA and GMAT), work experience, and extracurriculars.
Your GPA is strong, so that is a good start. As for your GMAT, you should definitely take it again – in fact 3-4 times total is fine – to make sure you are realizing your potential. Target above a 730 if possible, as the average score in your demographic exceeds that. You may still want to illustrate to the schools that you have the academic ability to succeed in the classroom. You could showcase your quant ability in your resume, your recommenders could do the same in their recommendations, or you could even take a supplemental course such as stats or calculus.
It is hard to gauge your work experience without knowing your accomplishments and impact you have made there. But having worked at Deloitte myself for many years, I know that schools are impressed with applicants from there. It is nice to see you have already been promoted. However, the average years of work experience is closer to 5, so if you choose to apply with slightly fewer years, make sure you demonstrate why now is the time. And because of your lighter experience, it’s even more important to show you have made an impact and demonstrated leadership there. Ideally this will be supported by a strong recommendation letters as well. It will also be important to explain why you want your MBA, and to also illustrate the skills you already have which are transferable. Be sure your story makes sense, and is realistic and specific.
Regarding extracurriculars, make sure to really emphasize your leadership roles you have taken on. Your blog certainly sounds impressive.
If you continue to strengthen your profile, you do have a chance at some of these schools, but they are extremely competitive, and each school simply does not have the room to admit all the world's qualified applicants. For that reason, I suggest apply to several schools, including reach, target and safety. You could also apply to schools in the US.
