Hi, I think that's roughly in the ballpark, but it depends on some other factors not just your overall score. For instance, schools will look at your GMAT in combination with your undergrad background. So if you have a low GPA, then you may want to secure a higher GMAT score. If you have a high GPA, then that eases some pressure off your GMAT. It also depends on your section scores. As you can imagine, MFE programs require a high level of quant skills. I checked one top program (Berkeley) and they include in their class profile that the average quant score is the 94 percentile, and verbal is 77%. So if your section scores are close to those, then you should be in good shape.
Hope that helps!

Hi,
I scored a 700 on the gmat. I am a US military candidate holding a BS in engineering and an mba.
Would this gmat score suffice for top mfe ( master of financial engineering) programs.
