Hey
bbarr127 -- thanks for reaching out. Generally a 710 is good enough for UCLA / USC. It's in range for both schools and close (but a bit below) their averages (714/716). But they don't just look at the overall score, they do look closely at Quant as many courses are quant-based. So that low Quant score does worry me. Did you take, and do well in, Quant courses in college? Is your current work quantitative in nature? If yes to both then it may be less of a concern, but would still consider retaking to see if you can increase that Quant score. If no, then I'd definitely wait to apply til you can show more quant strength -- either via a higher score or additional coursework.
Remember too that your GMAT is looked at in combination with your GPA to gauge your academic strength. While the Ivy League experience is a plus, 3.0 will be below their averages / at the low end of the middle 80% of the class.
Curious though about the company you started, that sounds intriguing! Is it enough to outweigh these weak points? Possibly, but hard to know!
Good luck!

I recently got a 710 on my GMAT, but with very low Quant. (45th percentile quant, 99th percentile verbal).
I am applying first round to USC and UCLA. The rest of my application is very strong (Started my own socially-conscious company at 22, 3.0 at an ivy league school, great essay, etc).
Will this put me in good standing to get into either of these schools?
