I'm in a real tough spot guys, need some great suggestions.
I have got an admit from McCombs (without any schol) and at the same time Fisher has offered me an admit with a 50% tuition schol along with a fellowship of $715 per month.
That makes McCombs costlier by close to $65k I guess. Being an international student, this is a huge sum of money for me. I know Austin is great as a city and the collaborative atmosphere in McCombs is really something I looked forward to but at the same time I am aware that Fisher has a really small batch size (about 125) and has good placement stats (% of students placed). Although the avg starting salary at McCombs is fairly high, some older posts in GMAT club suggest that the placements for international students have at times been a little disappointing.
I aim to pursue strategy, consulting and marketing and that way McCombs certainly holds the edge. But its just that the difference in ROI might turn out to be huge if I chose Fisher.
I'd appreciate an honest assessment of my situation.
Thanks.
