Please help. Which one looks like a stronger choice as in stronger courses?
I know, I know. I am not looking at top 20 schools here. First, I only had a 3.3 undergraduate gpa, studied Sport Management, do not really want to take the GMAT, and looking to do a AACSB accredited online program.
With all that being said, which curriculum looks like the more challenging and better suited for real world environments?
I am partial to FIU as I am an alum and LOVE FIU. Received a great education and enjoyed my time there. The problem is FIU online program is just a general MBA while, Ohio University has specialties within their MBA program. That is the problem I have with FIUs program.
FIU MBA Courses: If you go to FIUs online corporate MBA website, it will give you a detail description of each course. I can not paste the link as I have no been on here for 5 days.

MBA 6912 - Applied Business Experience (CAPSIM)
· Students demonstrate interdisciplinary knowledge and range of skills through integration of business concepts mastered in the MBA Program. This project is launched in the third quarter of study and culminates in the presentation and submission of a consulting report in the final quarter of study.

The course introduces organizational change theories, approaches to implementation, and the role of effective leadership in making change happen.
3. MBA 6900 – Ethics in the Global Environment. Introduces key concepts related to business ethics, with a particular focus on issues that managers face in the global environment of business. Important decision making frameworks are introduced, and the pros and cons of these frameworks are discussed with the goal of helping the student develop their own unique approach to ethical reasoning based upon greater awareness of their values and priorities.

3. MBA 6365 – Advanced Corporate Finance. Provides students with a deeper understanding of corporate finance. Specifically, this course covers the following topics: capital structure, dividend policy, both long-term and short-term financing, risk management at the firm level, and other special topics. By the end of the course, students will be able to address key company specific questions about the firm’s strategy and ability to fund its operations, while at the same time managing and incorporating risk management to maximize shareholder wealth.

Hi! Sounds like you are looking for an online MBA, is that right?
I think the specialization vs. not specialization is not a BIG issue.
P.S. is is really tough to tell which one is better just based on the curriculum. Professors play a huge role and also the school itself. You probably care for a good education but you would want to get a job at the end too, right? If one can promise you a job, you would have probably taken it....
If I were in your shoes, I would go with FIU (or there are other online programs such as the top 20 UNC MBA).... they are a bit more expensive though.
