Another reason for EMBA is that usually these programs are faster (21 months vs 30 for PT program)

Thanks for all the responses. Big relief as I was also more keen towards EMBA.

As a follow up question, is it advisable to provide GMAT score if you have one for the EMBA program. I happened to give my GMAT in 2010 (without much preparation) and scored 550 only. Not sure if this is a score I should provide with my EMBA application since GMAT is always optional in such programs.

Any thoughts?

Hi techguy -

I agree - you definitely seem like EMBA material to me. Part-time MBA programs tend to be filled with younger, less experienced candidates.

In an EMBA program, you would be with peers who would be more similar to you. Additionally, when you graduate with your EMBA, you'll have a network of more experienced and prestigious individuals.

Some EMBA programs do have an interest in a higher level of managerial experience than your profile presents. Have you had any managerial experience overseeing significant projects and/or budgets? Don't forget that this can also count as managerial experience.

If the GMAT is required, by all means provide it. However, if the GMAT is not required, I would not recommend providing it. It's an OK, but not great, score.

If I can help further, please let me know. Before becoming an MBA admissions consultant, I was the Director of Full-Time, Executive and Professional MBA Admissions for a top-30 school. Happy to help!

Best wishes!
