Yep. Ucla is not good if you'd like to go into marketing, finance, or tech, move to the Bay Area, go to school with normal people who still have good standardized test scores, gpas, etc. it's just good for entertainment or so cal!

Currently in the healthcare field and would like to stay in it. Post MBA would be looking to stay in healthcare and do product marketing in Asia or management consulting (I know Anderson can help me here). Ultimately would like to be in healthcare VC. However, in looking at top VC firms it seems that everyone has their degree from H/S/W (here is where I feel Anderson degree may not be helpful). Long-term, I would like to stay in California, preferably the Bay Area.

What I would be doing now for another year is probably looking to get a promotion and / or re-take GMAT (720 on first try).

painting with an awfully large brush there... Very strange since your profile shows that you're matriculating @ Anderson. Do you want to explain?

26% of the class of 2012 went into financial services, 20% into tech...

Mtw, talk to Regina regazzi, executive director of corporate relations. She will shoot you straight regarding what the career management center can do for you. I met a couple of '14s who are doing venture capital in LA and SF during A Days. Don't listen to people who say you can only get a certain job from certain schools. Plenty of people go to Kellogg/booth/etc and don't get that coveted MBB position even though they think its all but certain bc they went to a top 5.
