I am looking at two universities for my MBA. Both are obviously AACSB accredited. I asked these two questions to both school. One university gave me specific answers and the other university stated that the AACSB disallowed such information to be given to students as they are not allowed to use it to sway a students decision to chose one university over another.
1) What was the average salary for an incoming MBA student to your program and what was their salary after obtaining their MBA from your university.?
2) What percent of students after completing their MBA from your university either got promoted or obtained a position at a different company?
Again, one university gave what the average salary of students coming into their MBA program was making and how much they earned after earning their MBA from that university. The other university stated they are not allowed to give that information out as an AACSB accredited school.
The second question; the first university stated 68% either got promoted or moved on to a different position during their MBA studies or after graduating. The same school that did not give out the salary information, also used the AACSB as an excuse for not supply this answer.
Is the AACSB a real excuse or is it just to hide from the fact that the graduates from the one university, that did not answer the questions, was not doing well with their MBA from that school and they were hiding behind the AACSB as a reason not disclose the truth that their graduates were not doing too well?
