Hello
Am currently working for a solar power generation company in India. Will be having 3.5 years of work experience in this company by the time I join for my MBA. Have a B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Trichy with a CGPA of 7.1/10 and have done my masters in sustainable energy systems from University of Edinburgh, UK. Going to give GMAT soon but assuming that I get a 650, can anyone recommend some good schools for me.
Am banking on a bunch of strong recos from 2 of my direct supervisors, an extensive work experience in the solar sector (have been a part of India`s largest PV and solar thermal projects right from project development in corporate office to construction management at project construction site).
My acads are not great and am not expecting any super high GMAT score but believe that my work ex (strong technical and financial expertise in solar sector with full project lifecycle experience) is very good to get me into the cleantech VC space in the USA.
Any suggestions? (Am only looking for US schools, planning for Stanford, Haas, Johnson and Ann Arbor)

Hi Arun,
Thats a good list of b-schools considering your interest in clean tech and these school's experitise in the area. However the GMAT you are aiming for is far less than their average GMAT scores, and that can hurt you potentially. I think that you need to aim higher for the GMAT so that it looks as good as the rest of your profile and you can take a realistic shot at these b-schools. In that scenario, you can also add Duke Fuqua to your list.

I agree with Namita here - you've got a unique profile and what seems like a lot of great experiences to pull from. The last thing you want is your GMAT score to hold you back.
At the schools you're targeting (which is a good list, I'd add McCombs and Emory to the list too for energy) you really need to have a higher score. Preferably high 600s or low 700s. I know that can be frustrating advice but you don't want that to be what keeps you out!
