Hey there,

That's an amazing GMAT score! Congratulations! You're spot on when you say being a male consultant with a good GMAT doesn't just magically open doors. As CMcAboy mentioned, try to find ways to get involved and separate yourself from the pack. Even with your professional career, make sure you find roles and projects off the beaten path. Find ways to make an impact beyond your role and demonstrate the ability to tackle ambiguity. When it comes to extracurriculars, go for quality over quantity. Take your passions and get involved.

Take a very holistic view of your story - for the top 10, it isn't just about the things you've done. Almost everyone who applies has done great things. But not everyone's story says they have.

Let me know if you have any questions or want to chat about anything.

Cheers,

Bhavik

Hi,
That's an outstanding score you have got. I must say that it sets you apart from the crowd at least on one criteria, that is, academic performance. Your GPA is above average too. But, that's just one part of the application.
As you have just graduated from undergrad school, you still have at least 3 years to build a solid application for the top 10 business school. Business schools evaluate applications based on other criteria as well. A solid GMAT score is a hygiene factor, but you should have at least one thing that sets you apart from the crowd.
Over the coming years, look out to have a good work experience which I am sure you would be able to do as you have offer from the boutique management consulting firm. Remember leadership is the key.
You need to have strong extracurricular activities too. Select one thing you are truly passionate about outside your work environment, and do your best at that. Be it sports, community service, start up, music etc. Top business schools look for students who can add to their legacy. You should have substance to convey that you certainly can.
Your work experience and your extracurricular activities help you write excellent application essays which are an important aspect of your application.

Good Luck!
