Hi- Thanks for the reply.
I have Smith/Cornell/Yale- on list- which are in the 15-20 range to spread out a bit.

I was kind of assuming 10-15 might just work due to an advanced degree and Management ex that might compensate for the low GMAT score.
Any specific reasons 10-15 might be a stretch? I want to know if I should even spend my time on these at all!!

Thanks much

Hey there,

10 - 15 are going to be realistic stretches for you. You should actually consider some schools in the 15 - 25 range to round out your applications. I think you should pick a couple in the 10 - 15 range and the remainder from the next tier down to make sure you really help your conversion chances.

Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Hey there,

You should absolutely try for those schools! You only get your MBA once - go for it! The worst that can happen is that they say no - and if so, so what? You count the hours you spent as a sunk cost and move on. But they could say yes too! That's the best thing about realistic stretch programs - they're still within your reach. While your GMAT isn't fantastic, it's still solid and your age, while a little on the older side, isn't a nail in the coffin yet.

Definitely try for the higher ranked schools - if you don't try, you'll never know!
