Hi everyone,
I've been accepted into Johnson, Marshall and McCombs for FT. I'm looking to make a career switch (as an international applicant) into a marketing role post-grad, with possible interests in tech or CPG. Looking to move to California post-grad, hopefully the SF Bay Area, although I'm open to NYC and Hong Kong as well.
Anyone with any insights on which school to choose? Would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Do you have a tech background? Most tech companies who hire MBAs for marketing roles (i.e. product management) typically want people with tech backgrounds.
If you're looking at CPG, do you know if you'll need sponsorship? I've found that a lot of CPG companies don't sponsor internationals. If you're open to NYC, Johnson is a good choice, but off the top of my head, I think only Colgate-Palmolive and Reckitt Benckiser provides sponsorship.
If SF is your top choice, it's slim pickings for CPG - off the top of my head I can think of Del Monte and Clorox, and I'm not sure if they sponsor.

Unfortunately I don't have a tech background, I come from a finance/accounting background. As an international, I will need sponsorship - I know CPG's are a bit tough on that end. Didn't realize tech companies look for tech backgrounds in marketing roles, that could be a problem for me..
The main things appealing to me: McCombs' strength in tech, Marshall's ties to California, and Johnson's overall brand and rank above the others.
But looks like I may have to re-organize my post-grad goals if this is the case... what other industries or types of companies in the US (specifically NYC or Cal) are open to sponsoring internationals for marketing functions/roles? Particularly for career switchers such as myself.
The main things appealing to me: McCombs' strength in tech, Marshall's ties to California, and Johnson's overall brand and rank above the others.
