You are trying to make us convince you to go.... I would say don't go - free up space for of the other folks on the WL who would kill for such opportunity... probably literally. Strike One.
I see your stats and they are cushy. You are comfy. I don't think you need an MBA. You said nothing about what you want to do or what you would like to achieve; only about what you did and where you are. I think that's great and will do. What will you have going for yourself in a few years? Does not sound like you have a lot of opportunities to grow past your role/title. Only so many VP's... That's what MBA is for - break out, switch industries, accelerate growth.
On the financial side, if that's your main driver, I would say again - don't go. You really must want to advance your career rather than make a few more $$. Strike Two.
One irritating thing about this post - current US News Rankings are: Duke at #11 and Cornell at #16.
Both have been in the top 10 of BW and/or US News in the past. What you are implying is that you will go to a top 10 school. You really think there is that much difference between Duke/Cornell and another top 10 program? That's almost like arguing if a Mercedes with 18" rims would impress the chicks less than the one with 20" rims.
You gotta go all in or not bother. It sounds like you are "OK, Maybe I will go" - that's the wrong attitude. Don't go. You won't be happy. It won't be satisfying, and you will be one of those disgruntled alums who felt they should have gone to HBS or Wharton but settled for Duke. Strike Three.
I see three counts for not going and not many for going frankly... the only one being your pay but you will have to work hard and fight for a 30-50% raise and you don't seem to be that type or in that stage of your career... I am kind of there too - my main focus is now on the family and not on the aggressive world of recruiting and I am fully at peace with that
