It is absolutely not right to compare a Part-time program with a Full-time program.
Chicago Booth is a higher ranked school, but, Cornell AMBA is a full-time program. And the Johnson AMBA is the most unique 1 yr. MBA program there is - You do NOT exempt any core courses; it is in fact truly ACCELERATED and is not meant for the flippant student or the faint-hearted!
Just because both of them do not have internships, it doesn't really mean the experience is similar.
As an AMBA from Johnson and as a TA for a part-time program (for execs), I can tell you with certainty that the experiences in both are completely different.
That said, for someone who needs to change careers, either of these may not be ideal. You should go for a full-time 2 yr program with an internship.
An MBA is a one-time experience. Do not make your choice based on marginal time or marginal cost basis. If the goal is learning and a career at the end of it, make a decision strategically. When you're getting into it anyway, go all out and give it your best shot!
All the best!
