Hi Folks,
Hope everyone is doing well.
I am facing classical "top school with no scholarship vs. average school with full ride" dilemma and solicit your advice to make an informed decision. So here's my situation:
School#1
NC state university Jenkins School of management
Pros:
1) Full aid with graduate assistance, hence no financial worries.
2) Low ranked but fast emerging.
3) Small batch size (~60)
4) Good reputation with local companies.
Cons:
1) Low rank can't be discounted.
2) Fairly new program so less recognized.
3) Weak alumni base.
School#2
UNC Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School
Pros:
1) Top ranked (#17)
2) Strong brand recognition.
3) Strong alumni base.
4) High Salaried jobs and internships.
Cons:
1) No financial aid, hence I've to borrow 100K loan.
2) Fierce competition because of big class size and of course highly smart students.
I know that ultimately it would be my call but I would like to cover all bases before reaching a decision. I would really appreciate your suggestions.

The amount of influence aid have on people's choice between schools with ranking difference varies. In this case, the difference in exit opportunity is too great to justify even a full ride.

Definitely UNC, but try and negotiate some money from them.
